Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

We want booking with us to feel safe and fair. This policy explains how deposits, cancellations and refunds work, and complements our full Terms of Service.

Booking & deposit

  • A booking is confirmed when we receive a 30% deposit of the total trip cost.
  • This deposit secures your guide, permits and departure, and is non-refundable.
  • The remaining 70% balance is due before your trek begins (typically up to 14 days before departure, or on arrival, as arranged with you).

If you cancel

Cancellations take effect from the date we receive written notice by email or WhatsApp.

When you cancelWhat happens
More than 30 days before departureDeposit is forfeited; any balance already paid is refunded in full.
15–30 days before departure50% of the total trip cost is forfeited; the remainder is refunded.
Less than 15 days before departureNo refund is available.

These windows reflect the non-recoverable costs we commit on your behalf (permits, guide, lodge bookings) as your departure approaches.

If we cancel

We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to insufficient group size, safety concerns (severe weather, political instability) or force majeure. In these cases we will offer you a full refund or alternative dates. We are not liable for additional third-party costs you may have incurred, such as international flights or visas.

Itinerary changes

Trek itineraries may be altered due to weather, trail conditions, permit restrictions, or health and safety. Our guides have final authority on route decisions in the field. No refund is given for itinerary changes that are beyond our control.

How refunds are made

  • Refunds are returned to your original payment method.
  • Card payments are refunded via Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.
  • Bank transfer or Wise refunds are arranged directly with you.
  • Card processing fees charged on the original payment are not recoverable and may be deducted from a refund.

Travel insurance

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip-cancellation cover and helicopter evacuation above 4,000m. It protects you against the cancellation costs above and against events on the trail that are outside everyone's control.
