Afternoon drive 32 km east from Kathmandu to Nagarkot hill station on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. Arrive in time for sunset over the Himalayan panorama stretching from Dhaulagiri to Kanchenjunga including Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. Overnight at resort.

The Nagarkot Sunrise Tour is the classic Kathmandu Valley day trip — an early-morning drive to the Nagarkot hilltop (2,175 m) for sunrise over the Himalayas, with a stop at Bhaktapur UNESCO heritage city on the return. On clear mornings from October to March, Nagarkot delivers a panorama of 13 mountain groups from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east, with Everest (8,849 m) visible on the horizon — a rare chance to see the world's highest peak from road-accessible viewpoint.
The Bhaktapur stop on the way back covers the best-preserved medieval city in the Kathmandu Valley: the 55-window palace, pottery square, and Nyatapola pagoda. Private vehicle and guide throughout; all entry fees included.
