Can I see your government trekking licence?
Yes. We are a government-licensed operator registered with the Nepal Tourism Board and a TAAN member, trading from Lakeside, Pokhara since 1998. We share our registration documents with any traveller who asks — before you pay anything.
Are your guides individually licensed, and where were they trained?
Every lead guide holds an NMA certification with wilderness first-aid training, and most have 15+ years on the routes they guide. Ask about your guide by name — we will tell you exactly who is walking with you.
What exactly is itemised in the quote?
Everything: permits and fees, guide and porter wages and their insurance, teahouse nights, trail meals, ground transport and domestic flights where the route needs them, and government taxes. Exclusions — international flights, visa, your insurance, tips — are listed just as clearly.
How much does my porter carry, and are they insured?
Loads are capped in line with TAAN guidance, every porter is insured and properly equipped for the cold, and one porter carries for two trekkers. Porter welfare is our cost, never yours.
What is your evacuation protocol if I get sick at altitude?
We require travel insurance covering helicopter evacuation to your trek’s maximum altitude and check your policy before departure. On the trail, the decision to descend or evacuate is made with you and a doctor — evacuation is a safety measure, never a revenue stream.
How do I pay, and where does the money go?
By card through Stripe secure checkout, or by bank transfer to the company account. We will never ask you to wire a deposit to a personal account.
What if weather or altitude forces a change?
Deposit, cancellation and itinerary-change terms are confirmed in writing at booking, before you pay. Itineraries build in weather and acclimatisation buffers, and your guide has the authority to adapt the plan for safety.

For most regions, yes. Since April 2023 Nepal requires foreign trekkers to hire a licensed guide in national parks and conservation areas, and solo TIMS permits are no longer issued. Restricted areas such as Manaslu and Upper Mustang have always required a registered agency and a minimum group size. Our office is in Lakeside, Pokhara — the gateway to the Annapurna region. We run treks across all of Nepal (Annapurna, Everest, Manaslu, Langtang and Upper Mustang) and provide airport meet-and-greet plus transfers in both Pokhara and Kathmandu.
How do I know a Nepal trekking agency is legitimate before paying a deposit?
Run seven checks: ask to see the government trekking licence, confirm guides hold individual NMA/government certification, demand a fully itemised quote, ask how much porters carry and whether they are insured, ask for the evacuation protocol in writing, pay only by card or bank transfer to a company account (never a personal one), and get cancellation terms in writing before paying.
