Best Season
Year-round (best Oct–May)
Early morning departure from Kathmandu airport. Fly east to Lukla, then follow the Khumbu valley north to Everest Base Camp at 5,364 m. Land at base camp for 30–45 minutes of exploration and photography with Everest, Nuptse and the Khumbu Icefall as your backdrop. Return flight to Kathmandu via Lukla. Minimum 4 passengers per helicopter.
The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour is the ultimate one-day Himalayan experience — a private helicopter charter from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and back, completing in hours what trekkers spend 14 days walking. The helicopter flies east from Kathmandu over the Mahalangur range, landing at Gorak Shep before the EBC pad and hovering at Kala Patthar for the panoramic Everest view. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Kathmandu are included.
The one-day format suits travellers transiting Nepal, business visitors with constrained schedules, and anyone who wants the EBC experience without the multi-week commitment. The group is private (your party only, B3 or AS350 helicopter), departing at sunrise for optimal mountain visibility and minimum cloud risk. The flight covers the Khumbu glacier and icefall from the air — a perspective unavailable to trekkers at ground level.
Best seasons: October–November and March–May. Group: Private charter, your party only. Duration: ~5 hours Kathmandu to Kathmandu.
Autumn (Sep–Nov)
Best season — October mornings virtually guaranteed clear. Everest fully visible from Kala Patthar landing.
Spring (Mar–May)
Excellent. Everest expedition season adds drama. Clear mornings before afternoon cloud.
Winter (Dec–Feb)
Flights operate but very cold at EBC landing. Strong winds can ground helicopters.
Monsoon (Jun–Aug)
Not recommended — cloud frequently obscures the route and grounds flights.
No permits required for passengers
Included in flight feeCAAN-licensed helicopter. Sagarmatha National Park overflight clearance handled by operator. No trekking permits needed for a helicopter-only visit.
All permits are arranged and included in your package price. Nothing to organise yourself.
A detailed packing list will be sent with your booking confirmation. Gear rental available in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

强烈推荐给中国游客!(The helicopter to EBC was the most unforgettable day of my life. Landing next to the glacier with the Khumbu Icefall and Everest in view was breathtaking. Travel Himalaya Nepal arranged everything seamlessly. Strongly recommended for Chinese visitors with limited time!)
