Chinese citizens need a tourist visa, but it is free of charge (no fee). You complete the visa form on arrival or online.
Nepal waives the tourist visa fee for Chinese nationals — the visa is free (gratis) for 15, 30 or 90 days. You still complete the on-arrival/e-visa form.
Apply on arrival at Kathmandu (TIA) airport or online as an e-visa — same fee. Pay in USD cash; bring a passport valid 6+ months and a passport photo. Children under 10 are free. Fees reviewed June 2026 — confirm the live rate before travel.
