The 15-day ABC Trek from Kathmandu is the most comprehensive Annapurna Base Camp experience available — including both the overland Kathmandu to Pokhara journey and the extended 11-day approach/return trek through the Annapurna foothills, with an extra day at Ghorepani for the Poon Hill sunrise and a rest day at Chhomrong for the mountain views. This itinerary is designed for trekkers who want the ABC experience to feel complete and unhurried, without the time-pressure of the 9 or 11-day programmes.
Starting from Kathmandu, the overland route to Pokhara (tourist bus or domestic flight) is included. The trek itself follows the classic Modi Khola valley route from Nayapul through Tikhedhunga, Ghorepani, Chhomrong, Bamboo, and Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700 m) and the Annapurna Sanctuary (4,130 m). The extended schedule allows two nights at Chhomrong (2,170 m), an excellent acclimatisation stage, and the Ghorepani sunrise extension for Poon Hill's famous dawn panorama of 30+ peaks.
The descent includes a soak at Jhinu Danda hot springs and a final night in Pokhara before the Kathmandu return.

Wet season. Trails slippery, leeches on lower sections, views often obscured. Not recommended except for rain-shadow regions (Upper Mustang).
