Peak: 2,860 m · Day 2Morning drive from Pokhara to Nayapul (1,070 m). Begin trekking along the Bhurungdi Khola, passing Birethanti and climbing through terraced fields of millet and rice. Cross suspension bridges over rushing streams before the steep stone staircase ascent to Tikhedhunga, a small village perched above the valley.

The Annapurna Panorama Trek is a 7-day foothills circuit combining the famous Poon Hill sunrise (3,210 m) with the diverse Annapurna ridge landscape above the Modi river valley — visiting Ghorepani, Tadapani, and Ghandruk, three of the best-positioned viewpoint villages in the Annapurna Conservation Area. The route is circular (different trails in and out), delivering continuous new scenery without trail repetition, and stays at altitudes manageable for first-time trekkers.
Poon Hill at dawn is the centrepiece: 30+ peaks illuminated simultaneously, Dhaulagiri to Manaslu in one sweep. Tadapani adds a higher ridge view of Annapurna South (7,219 m) through rhododendron forest. Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village in the Annapurna region, provides one of the finest cultural stops on any Nepal trek — traditional stone houses, a community museum, and direct Gurung hospitality.

Autumn (Sep–Nov)
Best season. Crystal-clear skies, stable weather, spectacular mountain views. Peak crowds on EBC and ABC trails.

Spring (Mar–May)
Second-best season. Rhododendrons in bloom, good visibility. Slightly warmer than autumn. Pre-monsoon clouds build in afternoon.

Winter (Dec–Feb)
Cold but uncrowded. Clear skies and great views. High passes may be snowed-in. Lower altitude treks (Ghorepani, Langtang lower) remain open.

Monsoon (Jun–Aug)
Wet season. Trails slippery, leeches on lower sections, views often obscured. Not recommended except for rain-shadow regions (Upper Mustang).
