The Mohare Danda Trek is a 6-day community-run ridge walk in the Annapurna foothills that puts you on a high vantage point between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, with 270-degree Himalayan views and almost no other trekkers. Mohare Danda (3,300 m) is the culmination of the route — a grassy ridge summit with a 360-degree panorama of the region's greatest peaks that rivals Poon Hill for drama while receiving a fraction of its visitors.
The community lodge at Mohare Danda was built specifically to direct tourism income into villages that previously saw none. Staying there is a direct contribution to the Myagdi district community development fund. The approach through Narchyang, Nangi (with its famous high-altitude school), and Phalante passes through terraced farmland and rhododendron forest that is stunning in spring bloom. Connects easily with Ghorepani for an extended loop.

Cold but uncrowded. Clear skies and great views. High passes may be snowed-in. Lower altitude treks (Ghorepani, Langtang lower) remain open.

Wet season. Trails slippery, leeches on lower sections, views often obscured. Not recommended except for rain-shadow regions (Upper Mustang).
